Board committee (advises the Board)

The residents who keep an eye on the Palm Hill golf course, how it is run, played and kept up, and advise the Board on it.

What it does

  • Hears golfers' concerns and looks for fixes.
  • Works with the course superintendent and Park Manager on course projects and the Pro Shop.
  • Recommends golf fees, passes and policies to the Board.
  • Hears from the golf leagues: Men's, Women's, Couples and the Bandits.
  • Drafts a golfers' code of conduct and promotes golf to new residents.

Its role at Palm Hill

An advisory committee appointed by the HOPH Board each year; it also calls itself the Golf Advisory Committee. It recommends and the Board decides, as it did on free golf at 90 and 10-packs that no longer expire. Course staff do the daily upkeep.

How it can help you

  • Yearly membership (July 1 to June 30), 10-pack passes and cart stickers: at the Business Office.
  • Turning 90? You may qualify for free golf. Apply at the Office before July 1.
  • Sign in at the Pro Shop every round, or on the sheets outside after hours.
  • Free Taste of Golf day, Nov. 18 at 10 a.m., open to everyone in the park.
  • A course concern: email the committee.

When it meets

Second Tuesday of the month at 2:00 p.m., South Clubhouse Board Room and Zoom, most months from September to June, with a summer break. Any resident may attend. To speak on an agenda item, file a request to speak before the meeting (3 minutes). Minutes and videos are on the Committees of Palm Hill page.

Residents: how to reach the Golf Committee and who is on it now are on the Group Contacts and Members page (you'll be asked to log in).

Last confirmed: Said to look right by the Board liaison and the secretary, November 2026.
Kept current by the committee secretary.
